In recent years the world of cinema is being enriched with many film adaptations taken from video games, adaptations which have met with considerable success. Today Watch Dogs is also added to the rabble, which will officially become a film
Watch Dogs has become one of the best flagship titles from Ubisoft, the same video game production company that gave life to the Assassin’s Creedstill alive and well nowadays, with the latest chapter Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which will also be released on new game plus. Speaking of Watch Dogs, this is another much-loved franchise from the French production company that has had excellent feedback from thousands of players, especially starting from the second chapter. So far we have three chapters of the Watch Dogs saga: Watch Dogs, Watch Dogs 2 e Watch Dogs Legion. A franchise that proceeds more slowly than Assassin’s Creed, but still with more than enjoyable titles.
Who will be the director of the Watch Dogs movie?
The French director will take care of directing the film Matthew Turi. The French director born in 1987 has already worked in the past as assistant director for Quentin Tarantino in Inglourious Basterds and worked on Hostile in 2017 and to Meander-Death Trapfrom 2020. In the cast we will then find a star from the cast of the film Talk to Me, that is Sophie Wilde. The screenplay is written by Christie LeBlanc, known for working in Oxygen of 2021, while Yariv Milchan and Natalie Lehmann will serve as producers for New Regency Pictures and finally Margaret Boykin will co-produce the film for Ubisoft Film & Television. We don’t know anything about the plot yet, except that the film will have a original story, so we won’t see Aiden Pearce, Marcus Holloway or other members of London’s DedSec, the characters will be completely new. We’ll know more about it next year.
