Ford expands the offer of Tourneo Connect introducing motorization Plug-In Hybrid. The Blue Oval's multi-activity vehicle, also available with 7 seats, is thus enriched with a solution that makes it even more flexible and versatileensuring an efficient and electrified driving experience.

The Tourneo Connect Plug-In Hybrid has an estimated mileage up to 110km in fully electric mode, ensuring greater freedom of movement even in limited traffic areas.
The introduction of the new engine completes the electrification of the range of the new generation of Blue Oval people movers in Europe, which includes the compact E-Tourneo Courier five-seater, l’E-Tourneo Custom eight-seater and the Tourneo Custom Plug-In Hybrid nine-seater. The Tourneo Connect Plug-In Hybrid will be available to order from the summer, with first deliveries expected in the last quarter of this year.
Tecnologia Plug-In Hybrid di Ford Tourneo Connect
The new Plug-In Hybrid powertrain consists of an engine 1.5 liter EcoBoost petrol, a battery and an electric motor that deliver a total power of 150HP and 350Nm of torque with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The battery can be recharged up to 50 kW using public direct current charging stations during long journeys or at home using alternating current charging up to 11 kW.
The controls for the different driving modes
The commands to choose between different driving modes they are intuitive and facilitate the optimization of battery use and, therefore, autonomy.
- EV Now: drives in fully electric mode
- EV Auto: select the use of the electric or combustion engine to best adapt to the driving conditions of the moment
- EV After: it uses only the combustion engine, conserving battery energy for later
- EV Rica: retains a driver-defined level of autonomy for later use.
Driving assistance
Il new electrified model it features the same driving assistance technologies as the Tourneo Connect models with combustion engines (petrol and diesel), which have already obtained five-star recognition from the independent safety authority Euro NCAP. This technology package includes the Pro Trailer Backup Assist, l’Adaptive Cruise Control con Stop & Go, il Lane-Keeping System e l’Exit Warning.
