Mercedes responds to Ferrari after the Lewis Hamilton blow by hiring two engineers with great experience in F1: Simone Resta ed Enrico Sampo they will work in the Brackley team from 2025. The first, for years chief designer at Ferrari, will join the three-pointed star team in the role of development manager. The second, however, will lend a hand in the simulation department, more precisely his role will be that of Head of performance software applications. Simone Resta returned to Ferrari a few months ago after finishing his contract with Haas at the end of 2023 as technical director. The engineer from Imola will find himself again James Allisonwith whom he already worked in Maranello between 2013 and 2016.

For Simone Resta, joining Mercedes from Ferrari represents the fifth different team since he's been in F1.
