Starlink vs Telecom Italia, Musk's company files a complaint
As reported by Bloomberg (via DDay), Starlink has filed a complaint with'AGCOM et al Ministry of Business and Made in Italy. Musk's company claims that Telecom Italia did not comply with the company's data sharing rules frequency spectrum. The lack of data would have slowed the adoption of Starlink's equipment, particularly the installation of new antennas to communicate with the constellation of orbiting satellites.
In the complaint, Starlink states that Telecom Italia, unlike other operators, refused to coordinate and to provide the necessary data, arguing that Musk's company should not be allowed to operate on certain frequencies for technical reasons. This lack of information could lead to service interruptions in some areas of southern Europe and North Africa, powered by equipment located in Italy.
Starlink threatens to move investments from Italy to other European countries if the situation is not resolved. Telecom Italia, for its part, rejected what it defined as a partial reconstruction of the factsspecifying that there are still ongoing discussions.
