The document was released online by Property of the People in recent days and in these hours it is becoming public knowledge thanks to various international newspapers that have taken it up again. In the USA, the FBI can legally access major messaging applications used by users.
Among the most “collaborative” apps is WhatsApp which manages to provide the requested data in a very short time. It should also be noted that the messages saved on iCloud as backups, both of iMessage and WhatsApp, as the document points out, are easily accessible for the FBI (even if after the drafting of the document, WhatsApp has also applied encryption to its backup).
Some apps reveal very little data
