ABB Italia announced its participation in the AWorld project, mobile app for training and gamification linked to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with the creation within its app of the challenge “Less is better: together for a more sustainable future“. With this new initiative, the goal is set to encourage ABB people to actively embrace and support the culture of sustainability with their daily behaviors.
ABB Italia joins the AWorld project to promote sustainability
In line with the Group’s 2030 sustainability strategyABB Italia has created within its app the challenge Less is better: together for a more sustainable future. With this initiative, the company aims to promote sustainability. ABB Italia and its employees will be able to measure the commitment dedicated to sustainable development and the achievement of the 17 goals set by the United Nations.
With the project, every employee of the company will contribute, by next June 2022, to support the company goal of reduce CO2 emissions by 50 tons. Once the sustainability objective has been achieved, ABB Italy has already announced the future creation of an apiary spread over the territories where the company headquarters are located.
In total, 125 beehives, in 6 regions for 3.5 million and a half of bees adopted, will be created in partnership with the start-up Beeing.
