Elden Ring: Ray Tracing is also coming with a future update

In the past few hours, Bandai Namco and From Software have confirmed the arrival of Ray Tracing in Elden Ring in a future update: let’s find out the details together

Elden Ring has been out for less than 48 hours and many gamers have already thrown themselves headlong into the narrative, the world and the core gameplay outlined by From Software. There was obviously no lack of problems at launch, especially as regards the PC version, harassed by numerous technical problems (which have obviously given way to the “review bombing” on Steam). From Software is obviously working behind the scenes to bring numerous future updates, aimed at fixing these issues and improving performance, as well as, needless to say, adding new content.

Patch 1.02 went live yesterday and tried, in its own way, to patch up the numerous bugs and stumbles that have undermined the experience for some players. There’s no denying, though, that this update was pretty bland, but a detail in the patch notes on the Bandai Namco website made many chatter: the arrival of Ray Tracing. This feature, in fact, is currently not available on PC, nor on new generation consoles, but apparently the company seems to want to insert it.

When is Ray Tracing in Elden Ring?

In fact, the post reads:

When Ray Tracing is rolled out, which is expected to support after launch, will be revealed with an announcement in the future.

There is therefore no further news, neither for the “when”, nor for the “where”, even if the platforms foreseen in the perspective of Bandai Namco are quite clear. And we remember in any case that, despite the numerous problems present since day one of the game on PC, Elden Ring was a huge success in both critical and commercial terms, reaching a frightening 764,000 users online at the same time on launch day. And… our review is coming soon.

We therefore await further clarifications from Bandai Namco on the future inclusion of Ray Tracing in Elden Ring. We remind you that the game is currently available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC.
