With the disappearance of the Agent site, the much-rumored game from Rockstar Games and Take-Two, it seems that the game has now become just a mere dream
Rockstar, for years struggling mainly with new projects on GTA, and Take-Two, announced in 2007 a new IP, called Agent, set in the period that marked the height of the 1970 Cold War. gameplay with a mixture of action and stealth, with which to make your way into one paranoid and twisted plot of espionage, political assassination and counter-espionage. It was in development at Rockstar North’s studio, the same team as Grand Theft Auto, and was due out as a PS3 exclusive.

But something went wrong during the production of the title; there were numerous moments of impasse, and the creation of Agent came placed in a drawer, without any official news. In 2009, Rockstar tickled fans’ hopes at E3 by stating how their next title would have pushed to the limit the gaming industry, creating a new line to which the next action games aspire. The then president of Take-Two Interactive said the project would catch up the same altitudes of GTA. After that, Take-Two continued to reiterate how Agent was in development by Rockstar, but still no gameplay or concrete details about the game’s existence were shown.
The problems emerged all’E3 2011, discovering that Agent wouldn’t be PS3 exclusive if that’s what Rockstar wanted. The only clue regarding the game was an image leaked in 2011. With the trademark update in 2013, fans were expecting a release to coincide with the arrival of PS4, for take advantage of the highest power. With GTA 5 and the game online, it was clear that Agent was not among the priorities of the gaming house, so much so that the team that should have dealt with the art of Agent was reassigned. The trademark was renewed again in December 2016, for end up abandoned from Take-Two in 2018. A few hours ago, it could be seen as the Agent site disappeared, and the fact that Rockstar Games and Take-Two have removed the game from the section of their site, thus marking a possible final end.
