The Disney+ release date for the new Star Wars spin-off series Ahsoka has been revealed
The return of Ahsoka Tano on the small screen, already scheduled for this summer at the release of the trailer, has an exact date. On the page Disney Movie Insiders in fact, the release date of the new series for Disney+ of a stand-alone series dedicated to one of the favorite characters in the animated series of Star Wars, the first to appear in format live action in The Mandalorian 2. There is great anticipation among fans for Ahsoka, TV series that will see Rosario Dawson once again take on the role of the powerful Jedi. The release date of the show on Disney+ has appeared on the Disney Movie Insiders page which, although awaiting confirmation from Lucasfilm, should arrive in streaming on next August 31st.
What Ahsoka is all about, coming to Disney+
The first trailer was shown at the Star Wars Celebration 2023 held in April in London, receiving numerous appreciations from fans of the saga. Ahsoka Tano showed herself to the public in the second season of The Mandalorian, but she was originally introduced in the animated series Clone Wars e Rebels. Before joining Luke Skywalker and Grogu, she was a protégé of Anakin Skywalker who turned to the dark side.
The series will follow Ahsoka as she investigates an emerging threat to the vulnerable New Republic. On the show, along with Rosario Dawson, too Hayden Christensen as Anakin after his retaliation in Obi-Wan, and Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren in the first live-action iteration of the character. Mary Elizabeth Winstead will play Hera Syndulla. Great expectations also for the live action debut of Lars Mikkelsen in the role of Grand Admiral Thrawn, the famous villain of the animated series Rebels. We will then find out what awaits the future of Star Wars in August!
