Some like it hot, like the hell of a nightmare difficulty: this and much more, including new game plus, coming for Alan Wake 2
Oh well, it’s Friday: we’re still reviewing Wonder, but it came out today Alan Wake 2 and it seems that we can already expect great things from the title even after the launch, given the possibility of replaying everything both with the new game plus than to one new difficultyappropriately named Nightmare. The development team confirmed this in the tweet that you can find below. In addition to what we have said, an “alternative narrative” will be available with new video content and unpublished pages of the manuscript. You can see it all in the post we’ve included for you below.

The new game plus and the new difficulty: the future of Alan Wake 2
How much of the new content will actually alter the plot of Alan Wake 2 will remain to be seen. The post above in fact concludes by specifying that “the precise release window is yet to be determined”. We will therefore have to wait to find out how much Remedy Entertainment still hides in its hat, perhaps with some suggestions on the nebulous future of Control 2. As for the writer’s grotesque (in the good sense) misadventures, the game is available on PS5, PC (via Epic Games Store), Xbox Series two separate DLCsNight Springs and Lake House, other than the names of which we still know nothing.
