The teaser trailer for Alien: Romulus has arrived, the new chapter of the saga that began way back in 1979. The film, a release, is placed between the first two chapters, returning to the original spirit of the franchise and will act as a new chapter in the legendary sci-fi horror saga inaugurated by Ridley Scott. The director of the very first film and also of the most recent chapters (Prometheus and Alien: Covenant), returns here as producer, while the direction is entrusted to Fede Alvarez, a filmmaker specializing in horror films, having already signed titles such as The House and Man in the Dark. Here he will also act as a screenwriter, together with his assiduous collaborator Rodo Sayagues.
The director-writer has already declared that his Romulus, the seventh film in this franchise (ninth if we also include the crossover Alien vs. Predator), will be independent of the timeline seen so far, even if the facts will take place between Scott's first Alien and the Aliens sequel signed by James Cameron.

As you can see from the preview clip above, it seems that his intention to respect the beginnings of the saga in style, tone and aesthetics is currently well achieved. Even the plot has the feel of an origin storyfeaturing a group of young space colonizers who, scavenging in the depths of an abandoned space station, come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.
In the cast of Alien: Romulus we find among the protagonists Cailee Spaeny, in a decidedly different role from the one that made her known to the general public recently, namely Priscilla. They will be there next to her David Johnson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn and Aileen Wu. The release in Italian cinemas is scheduled for August 14th next. In the meantime, there is also great anticipation for Noah Hawley's TV series also dedicated to Alien.
