Amazon Astro è l'aiutante robotico che stavamo aspettando thumbnail

Amazon Astro is the robotic helper we’ve been waiting for

It is now official. Amazon It is not only the largest e-commerce giant in the world, it is also an electronics manufacturer. And it is on a war footing. Proof of this is the flood of products presented today, including the already much talked about robot Astro.

Amazon Astro

Astro is the first robot of Amazon. A sort of Alexa with wheels equipped with 10-inch touchscreen on which, among other things, two eyes are reproduced that simulate different reactions.
Amazon Astro aims to become your little domestic friend, only 30 cm high He is able to move around the house independently for a maximum of 45 minutes, after which he will have to return to the base and recharge.

To characterize it we find ultrasonic sensors, ToF cameras for depth and a 12 megapixel periscope camera that you can use for home video surveillance or for normal video calls. The on-board technology allows Astro to recognize people interacting with him and to map the house to help him distinguish the various rooms.

We also have two speakers available while on the back we also find a loading area. Let me be clear, it will not be able to carry very heavy objects: Astro can bear it maximum 2 kg.
But that’s not all. You can also use the Amazon robot to recharge your smartphone thanks to a convenient 15-watt USB-C port which, in the future, will be useful for all accessories – from Amazon and third parties – developed to enhance the newcomer.

The cost? Amazon provides a first phase by invitation during which the price will be $ 999.99, once officially landed on the market the cost will rise instead to 1.499,99 $.

Amazon Glow

Amazon Glow it is a particularly original device. It is a device created for video calls but equipped with a projector. Confused? Actually the idea behind Glow makes quite a lot of sense: the children they tend to get bored easily
during videocall therefore Glow integrates a technology that projects towards the table libri, games and puzzles with which
to interact.

Let’s go into a little more detail. Glow is intended for children between 3 and 9 years old, is accompanied by a mat of
about 19 inches on which the images are projected and is equipped with a small display that allows the little ones
from call a specific list of people, carefully selected by parents.
Accompanying Glow is there‘homonymous tablet application, which is used both to answer calls
children and to see what is being projected on the mat at that moment.

It is a particularly curious product that will arrive on the American market in October for the price of $ 299.99.

Hello View

Space also for wearables with Hello View, a smartband with color AMOLED display and all necessary sensors a track physical activity, heart rate, saturation, temperature and sleep.
