Amazon employees will return to the office in May: the hybrid format is underway
Amazon had introduced smart-working in the midst of the pandemic, given the impossibility of attending workplaces. Towards the end of 2020, when we were slowly getting back to normal, the company announced the end of smart working, preparing to return to presence. However, Covid has reappeared, with its variations, in several waves, ruining Amazon’s plans.
The company has thus postponed the obligation to return to the office, maintaining the smart model in many countries around the world. Today’s announcement would therefore lead to a hybrid approach, maintaining teleworking for part of the week, but obliging employees to attend the offices for at least three days. The new directives will be implemented in May for Amazon locations worldwide.
