Tomb Raider: Angel of Darknessthe sixth chapter of the famous Lara Croft saga, was the subject of a unofficial remake made with Unity Engine by a group of enthusiasts. The project, which aims to improve the graphics and playability of the original title, recently released a pre-alpha demo downloadable (and playable) for free.
A remake that respects the original
The project was born from the passion of some fans who wanted to pay homage to one of the most controversial and innovative chapters of the series. The original game, released in 2003, was in fact characterized by a darker and more mature atmosphere than previous chapters, with almost RPG elements and urban settings.
The remake, made with Unity Engineit is proposed to keep the contents and story of the original game faithful, but renew its graphics and fluidity. The result is a sort of high definition remaster, which can be appreciated in the video published on YouTube which shows the demo in action with an NVIDIA RTX 4080.
