LG is becoming, more and more, a reference for the laptop market. After the success of the LG Gram line, able to offer excellent performance at a very low price, and the debut of the first LG UltraGear gaming laptop, the Korean house intends to innovate further. A new patent filed with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) anticipates the realization of an LG laptop with three screens.
LG’s laptop of the future
The patent filed by LG shows us what the future of the company’s laptops could be like. The project anticipated by the patent provides for the presence of tre display. In addition to the main display, which seems to have a more elongated format than the “traditional” 16: 9, there are, in fact, other two square displays positioned on the sides of the keyboard. These are auxiliary displays capable of guaranteeing additional functions to the user.
Furthermore, one of the two displays can also be used as a touchpad. To make the most of the two displays, specific applications could also be created. It should also be noted that the LG device has a system that, when opened, allows you to lift the keyboard part off the table. In this way, LG should ensure an improvement in the cooling of the internal components. The “free” part above the keyboard could be reserved forintegration of a high quality audio system or a fourth display.
We will see if in the near future, perhaps already at CES 2022 in early January, LG will show some real concept of this possible evolution of its range of laptops.
