AOC, a leader in the gaming sector, launches the new curved monitors AG493UCX2 and AG493QCX. Both are part of the AGON series, which includes numerous other devices that are perfectly compatible with each other. The new displays are proposed as the ideal solution for demanding and competitive gamers.
AGON by AOC: the brand relaunches the product portfolio
AOC is relaunching its portfolio of products dedicated to gaming: from monitors, to headphones, mechanical keyboards, mice, mouse pads and more. All products designed for players of all levels and branded AGON by AOC. In fact, the first AOC GAMING category was recently announced, ready to redefine the needs of digital adventurers. In fact, the series of monitors and peripherals AGON make up an ecosystem of compatible products, creating an extremely engaging and elegant gaming atmosphere. In short, a range of products able to satisfy demanding and competitive players.
The first models of the new AGON series are two 49 ″ curved screens: let’s talk aboutAG493UCX2 49 ″ (124.5 cm) andAG493QCX. Thanks to their 32: 9 aspect ratio, the AG493UCX2 is able to virtually combine two 27 ″ QHD displays into a single DQHD (5120 x 1440) resolution panel. Response AG493QCX combines two 27 ″ Full HD displays with DFHD (3840 × 1080) resolution. Both monitors use VA panels for deep blacks, rich colors and a high contrast ratio for stunning images, supported by VESA-certified DisplayHDR 400 technology.
AG493UCX2: perfect for all types of video games
The AGON AG493UCX2 49 ″ monitor features an 1800R curvature that gently envelops the user and fills their peripheral vision. The result is similar to that of an augmented reality set placed on the desk, with no obstacles in the center of the display. While the monitor excels in first-person games, the additional space benefits all types of video games, from RTS to MMO, with many interactions active at the same time.
Despite its rather large size, the monitor is fast and responsive. Thanks to his refresh rate of 165 Hz e at 1 ms MPRT response time (4 ms GtG), this screen gets the adrenaline pumping during competitions.
AOC presents l’AGON AG493QCX
L’AGON AG493QCX 49 ″ is similar to its brother, but with a Full HD resolution. The monitor offers great involvement albeit with lower resolution, making it less expensive for the GPU, and reducing the total cost of the system.
With a similar 49 ″ VA panel, the AG493QCX’s 3840 x 1080 resolution has a refresh rate as far as 144 Hz for lightning-fast images. The response time is 4 ms GtG e 1 ms MPRT, which guarantees a gaming experience with as little ghosting as possible. Both monitors include Picture-by-Picture mode to simultaneously connect a work laptop and a desktop (to its 2 HDMI 2.0 or 2x DisplayPort 1.2 inputs) to view both desktops, side by side. While the AG493UCX2 also offers a USB-C input, both have a built-in 3-port USB hub to allow for easy connection of peripherals.
Extra functionality and price
Both models support Adaptive-Sync, to eliminate stutter and tearing. They are certified with VESA DisplayHDR 400, which decodes and displays a high dynamic range for more vivid colors, suitable for content creation. To compete on all fronts, both models feature massive, sturdy metal stands with 100mm height and tilt and swivel adjustments and dual 5W speakers that create rich stereo sound. To make OSD adjustments or select various game modes and game-specific functions, users can use the built-in buttons, the remote control included o he software AOC G-Menu.
AG493UCX2 e AG493QCX will be available starting from September 2021 at recommended prices of 1199 € and 949 € respectively.
