Welcome back to the column starring our heroes from Marvel, DC comics and so on and so forth! One of our favorite columns where we talk about the great and noble deeds of our heroes. The protagonist of today’s Aperit-Hero is Spider-Man!
Don’t talk about Spider-Man it was really a crime, especially when it comes to comic book superheroes. Spider-Man is pretty much the face of Marvel, when you think of this manufacturer you immediately think of our beloved Spider-Man. The leading character of the House of Ideas created by the late historian Stan Lee, which marked the history of this publishing house with our favorite Climbing Spider. In the history of cinema there have been many interpretations, but here we want to talk about the figure of Spider-Man, how important it is and how much it has marked the history of cinema. So yes, we will talk about the various actors who played him, but the focus will remain on the character himself.
Tobey Maguire Aperit-Hero: Spider-Man, da un grande potere…
That’s pretty much it The most iconic Spider-Man in cinema history. The reason is very simple, Tobey Maguire’s is in fact Spider-Man’s first appearance on the big screen. But that’s not the only reason we love this Spider-Man. Maguire’s is perhaps the most human and fragile Spider-Man we have ever seen in the history of cinema. However strong and powerful he may be in himself, Peter Parker is still human. But not just any human, unfortunately Peter Parker is an orphan, he has a story that doesn’t start very well and the worst moment of his life is Uncle Ben’s death. From an already poor family, Peter faces many difficulties that every young person faces who wants to pursue their dream. Peter becomes a university student who, to pay for his studies and to lend a hand to the zia Mayworks hard and is committed to ensuring that he can achieve his goals.
But not only that, let’s remember that anyway Peter Parker è Spider-Man, is a superhero that New York counts on, a person it trusts blindly. So Peter not only has to deal with the difficulties of his private life, he also has to protect the city, taking charge of many responsibilities. She has heart problems, due to the difficult relationship with Mary Janebut also with the conflict with his former best friend Harry Osbornborn due to the death of Goblinor his father Norman Osborn. Not to mention Doc Ockan inspirational figure for Peter and a good man in his own right, as well as Flint Markoalias Sandman. The enemies he faces are human themselves and all with their own frailties. What we see in the trilogy of Sam Raimi he is a human superhero, with all the weaknesses of a young man his age that we can all relate to.
Andrew Garfield | Aperit-Hero: Spider-Man, with great power…
After the end of the trilogy with Tobey Maguire we arrive at reboot of the saga. This time the character is entrusted to Andrew Garfield, who we believe to be the unluckiest actor among the three who played the character. This version of Spider-Man, however, boasts some Spider-Man’s most beautiful and faithful costume among all those we have seen at the cinema, which we only see in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. This Spider-Man is very underrated, it certainly won’t be at the levels of the original trilogy, but Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man is just as human, even if this humanity is seen a little less. In fact we would say that the dilogy of The Amazing Spider-Man is more than one love story. Yes, because the strong point of this reboot is the relationship between Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy, a relationship on which both films are based. But it also becomes one personal historybecause for the first time we see Richard and Mary Parker on screen, Peter’s parents.
The mystery of the Parkers begins in the first film, with the Doctor Connors who had collaborated with his father on Oscorp. Connors also becomes a father figure for Peter, but he finds himself fighting against him because he loses control when he becomes Lizard. But the real tragedy lies in the relationship between Peter and Gwen, which ended tragically with the girl’s death The Amazing Spider-Man 2, recreating the iconic scene where Spider-Man grabs Gwen in an attempt to save her from falling, but accidentally breaks her neck. The scene is very similar, with the difference that Gwen hits the ground when Peter grabs her. Not to mention the history of Peter’s family, about which he discovers the truth of spider that bit him. In fact, the spider was created with the Parker DNA, which is why Peter didn’t die with the bite, but gained those powers, making him a kind of chosen one. A tragic ending that left us with a bad taste in our mouths, poor Andrew.
Tom Holland | Aperit-Hero: Spider-Man, da un grande potere…
Perhaps this is the less favorite Spider-Man of the two, but one that still gave us big emotions. Unlike the other two, in fact, the Spider-Man of Tom Holland he always had a father figure to watch over and protect him. He made his beautiful entrance into the MCU in Captain America: Civil Warfilm in which he is recruited by Tony Stark. Just Tony, other times Iron Man, becomes a figure of reference for Peter, since we don’t see his parents, let alone Uncle Ben. The only parental figure we already know about Peter is Aunt May. But Tony becomes a fundamental figure in the life of the very young and inexperienced Spider-Man.
Thanks to Iron Man, Peter learns what it means to be a hero. Tony becomes a real father to Peter, who teaches him to behave maturely and become a respectable hero. Under his wing, Peter slowly begins to make himself known as a hero by wearing the costume Stark, created by Tony himself. But the death of the protagonist of the MCU leaves its mark on the life of the young man, who now must learn to fend for himself. Fight against Mysterio, a charismatic villain who deceived Peter and appropriated Stark technology. From his defeat, Peter understands that he is Iron Man’s worthy successor.
…comes with great responsibility
The essence of Spider-Man, at least the history the character has had in cinema, can be seen in Spider-Man No Way Home. Tom Holland’s Peter Parker, in fact, learns from his predecessors, from Andrew Garfield’s more adult Spider-Man, but above all from Tobey Maguire. Everyone here gets to the point where they give an account of what they’ve done in their life. Tobey’s Peter he married Mary Jane, despite the various difficulties that the couple encountered, both economic and work-related. Andrew’s Peter was unfortunately more unlucky, he went through depression and became a violent and aggressive Spider-Man, but took inspiration from Tobey. Finally there is Tom Holland’s Peter, who here goes through true growth, becomes an adult and understands the responsibility he took on by becoming Spider-Man. These three stories show us that everyone can be Spider-Manis a figure in whom we can all recognize ourselves and from whom we can take inspiration to fight our personal battles and win them.
