Respawn and EA have revealed that Apex Legends’ new Dark Abyss event will begin on Tuesday, January 11, and will run through February. Here’s what you need to know.
Apex Legends: from 11 January to the start of the Dark Abyss event
Right in these hours Respawn e SHE have revealed the start date of the new event of Apex Legends: Dark Abyss. The date to be marked on the calendar is that of Tuesday 11 January. The event, which will last until February 1st, will feature a new Arena map, themed cosmetics and various flash events. But before listing all the news let’s take a look at the official trailer.

- New Arena map: Habitat – One of the smaller islands in the New Antillia archipelago, Habitat 4 is best known as a breeding ground for Leviathans after the first IMC research groups were surprised to find that a large population of local Leviathans gravitated towards the island , designating the island as an ethological basis for studying the behavior of creatures. Filled with stunning areas that have eroded and transformed over time, Habitat 4 features a large waterfall, along with the Grotto and Nido which sit on higher ground on opposite sides of the island. The new map allows for quick slips and escapes, giving Legends the ability to quickly support their team when split or outnumbered.
- Flash events – Each week, Legends can complete challenges to earn a new set of unique rewards and badges. Key rewards include Apex Packs, Olospray, Skins, and more.
- Themed cosmetics – Unlock themed cosmetics that transform Legends into Terrors of the Deep. Players can purchase legendary skins for Ash, Horizon, Lifeline, and Fuse.
- Dark Abyss Packs – Players can claim limited-time Dark Abyss packs for 400 Apex Coins and unlock cosmetics, weapon charms, trackers, and more. The pack grants the unlocking of a non-duplicate item from the Dark Abyss thematic event and can also be crafted with crafting metals.
