It seems that Apple intend to announce a satellite connection service per iPhone 14 at the event “Far Out“, Confirmed for September 7 at 4 pm Italian. The agreement with Globestar it should allow Apple users to contact emergency services even where there is no cellular connection, in an emergency.

The telecommunications consultant Tim Farrar it seems having discovered news really tempting, which Apple wanted to keep secret until the event of the September 7, 2022 in Apple Park. According to him, the recent announcement of the agreement between T-Mobile e SpaceX would come to anticipate that Apple and Globastar want to launch a satellite service for the iPhone.

For this connection, Apple will have to insert into the iPhone 14 gods modern chips to exploit the satellite signal. So this function will in all likelihood only be used for Apple’s new generation of smartphones and smartwatches. While T-Mobile ensures that “most smartphones” will be able to integrate the SpaceX service, using the current cellular network.
