This choice, if true, would run counter to Apple’s usual strategy of supplying its larger machines with more powerful chips.

Apple: MacBook Pro 14 and 16 will have the same chip?

According to the insider Dylandkt su Twitter, both the 14-inch MacBook Pro and the 16-inch MacBook Pro will have the same chip and performance. In a second tweet, it is made clear by the user that both models should use the same M1X chip.

While Apple typically includes a more powerful GPU in its larger MacBook Pro variants, the lack of a second GPU in Mac M1 versions, as well as the lack of eGPU support for systems.i Apple Silicon, suggests that Apple won’t include any better chip types in 2021 releases.

Having similar performance, the only real difference between the models is likely to be the physical dimension, although this factor could affect the purchase price a cost. In this regard, the leaker warns potential buyers to expect a significant price increase for the 14-inch compared to the 13.

Both versions of the MacBook Pro should include eight high-performance cores and two energy-efficient cores, for a total of ten cores. Other rumors also indicate that it could even have 12 cores.
