Apple aims to throw a 27-inch external monitor with technology Mini-LED in the first quarter of 2023. The device should have the technology ProMotion a 120Hz and become a solution especially for professionals.
Apple set to launch a 27-inch Mini-LED monitor in 2023
The news comes from Ross Youngthe analyst of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), who shared the information to his “Super-Followers” on Twitter. The analyst had already predicted a launch of this device by the first months of 2023, after Apple had suffered several delays. In fact, if before the Apple thought it could launch at WWDC 2022had earlier postponed to October and then directly to early 2023.
The reason for the delay is to be found in the problems of supply chain which have slowed the release of Apple products throughout this year. The company appears to have made efforts to launch the iPhone and Apple Watch on time, postponing accessories and other devices such as monitors.
Apple Studio Display
According to rumors, the new display should have Mini-LED technologies for top brightness and contrast. Also it should support the ProMotion, with refresh rates up to 120Hz. It should therefore be a product more similar to the current Apple Studio Display rather than a replacement for the Pro Display XDR.
A product designed for professionals, but with a relatively lower price. We still wander aroundthe $ 1,599 price of the Studio Display, with the possibility of having prices even slightly higher.
But we will be able to find out all the details officially only next year, with Apple that seems willing (according to rumors) to hold an event in the first months of the year with several news. We will keep you informed.
