Apple announced his installment servicewhich will debut on the American market soon, during the WWDC 2022. But many details are only coming out informally. Among these the limit alleged to Apple Pay Later, which will stop at $ 1,000. Thus making it more complicated to buy iPhone Pro and Mac.
Apple Pay Later will have a limit of $ 1,000
Buy Now Pay Later payment systems allow users to purchase a device and pay for it in three or four installments. Something Apple customers appreciate, why they can settle the bill more calmly. And that even the Apple likes it, given that it encourages customers to buy.
But Apple wants to put some limits on this feature. In fact, it appears that Apple will conduct customer credit checks before purchasing, just like getting a loan. Also there will be a maximum limit of one thousand eurosbeyond which it will not be possible to go.
The $ 1,000 limit is particularly limiting especially considering the prices of Apple’s flagship devices. Some versions of the iPhone e iPad they are exclusive, as are most of MacBook e Mac.
The Wall Street Journal recently revealed that Apple will use its own funds to support the Pay Later initiative. This could be one of the causes of the limitations: Apple didn’t provide this type of service and wants to start small, for later broaden horizons. In fact, installment payments would be particularly useful for those who have to buy a powerful Mac to work, far exceeding a thousand euros. But Apple at the moment it would not be ready to support this type of funding.
The liquidity issue could also affect the launch of the service outside the USA, together with the management of the legal aspect of the affair. Apple has never done the bank and it seems that it wants to start doing it little by little.
