It is now quite known that Apple is not a big fan of “entry-level” devices. Yet, despite this, over the last few years the company has tried to respond to market needs with the launch of cheaper smartphones. And now it seems willing to continue on this path. A recently leaked report on the Net, in fact, suggests that Apple is testing a new one iPhone SE Plus, with a 5-inch display. But let’s find out something more.
iPhone SE Plus, Apple’s new smartphone under test
As anticipated, a source on the Net announced that Apple is working on the new iPhone SE Plus, an “entry-level” smartphone with significantly improved features compared to its predecessor. First of all, in fact, this will be equipped with a display LCD and a support for the 5G network. And, as if that weren’t enough, it would appear that the company is working on the new one chip A15 Bionic just for this smartphone. In short, the substantial changes will concern the technical specifications, given that the design should remain almost unchanged.
Another interesting novelty, however, would be represented by the selling price of the new iPhone SE PLUS, which should be among the cheapest smartphones on the market. By doing so, in fact, Apple hopes to be able to compete with Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo in the Chinese and Indian markets. However, this continues to remain a goal of the Cupertino company, so it remains to be seen if the new iPhone will really be able to compete with the other smartphones on the market. In any case, what makes us think is that finally Apple is also launching itself into the “entry-level” proposal. Who knows what it will have in store for us then.
