Masaru Yamamura, the director of Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, said in an interview that the title will not have a Souls exploration
Considering the success of the last titles FromSoftware it is normal that gamers are watching the new very carefully Armored Core 6. This title seems to deviate a lot from the most recent and popular works of the Japanese software house, and apparently recently the director of the game wanted to underline this detachment even more. Masaru Yamamura has in fact released an interview for RuliWeb in which he declares that Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon will not have souls exploration.

Masaru Yamamura recently released a very interesting interview relating to some aspects of Armored Core 6. Apparently, despite present numerous differences with the previous chapters, Fires of Rubicon will continue to focus on the typical elements of the series. The game indeed it won’t offer players the ability to explore freely the world like in Souls, but will focus on making them face gods well-defined levels.
In Armored Cores it is possible customize your own mechas to your liking and that means it is possible too modify elements such as speed, acceleration and jump height. As a result it’s easy to see why the title it doesn’t lend itself at all to large interconnected maps a la Souls and why the developers preferred to place players in well-defined arenas.
