Ubisoft has decided to make the Assassin’s Creed Chronicles spin-off trilogy available again for free on PC with Ubisoft +
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles is a series that deviates from the main titles of the saga, setting each episode in different places and times, each with its own protagonist. The major differences that can be seen compared to the “mainline” titles of Assassin’s Creed are to be found above all in the gameplay, openly inspired by that present in the metroidvania, with a side scrolling view and three-dimensional graphics.
Of course, some iconic aspects of the other games remain, such as parkour, leaps of faith, stealth and eagle eye, but the action will develop within various levels, which will require you to be played multiple times to complete each objective and further explore the story. The first chapter of the series, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles China, was already made available for free on PC through Ubisoft + in February, on the occasion of the celebration of chinese new year.

Each episode of the trilogy has a story of its own: Chronicles China is set in 1526 China, with a protagonist who became the last member of the Chinese Brotherhood during the collapse of the Ming dynasty. In India, on the other hand, the assassin Arbaaz will be played in the colonial era of 1841, while in Russia the protagonist Nikolai Orlov will have to deal with his own redemption within a nation in full revolution.
