Marvel Studios has decided to remove the reference to Kang from the title of Avengers 5, so the film, arriving in 2026, will have a different title
One of the most anticipated films for next year is definitely the fifth Avengers film. Especially now that Marvel movies are making one flop after another. After the conviction of Jonathan Majors and Disney’s subsequent choice to fire him, it seems that the writers decided to implement a series of changes. Hence the decision to remove any reference to Kang in the title of the fifth film dedicated to the Avengers. As we know, the title chosen for this film was, in fact, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Marvel is also trying to minimize the role of the villain played by Jonathan Majors that’s why leaving such a title wouldn’t make much sense. In fact, it seems that changes regarding Kang’s role were already underway even before Jonathan Majors was convicted of harassing and assaulting his ex-girlfriend.
Avengers 5, release, script and plot in addition to Kang
The fifth film dedicated to the avengers of Earth is expected to arrive in US theaters on May 1, 2026one year later than Marvel Studios’ previously announced date of May 2, 2025. Furthermore, the screenplay is now in the hands of Michael Waldron who will replace Jeff Loveness in writing the story. All upcoming projects in the MCU world have undergone several postponements given the Hollywood strikes of 2023. The next chapters of the adventures of the Avengers team will conclude the sixth phase of the MCU which will start with The Fantastic Four.
