In the past few hours, Larian Studios has updated the Baldur’s Gate 3 Steam page and changed the minimum requirements of the PC version of the game: the release from Early Access requires sacrifices
From the latest State of Play from Sony, disappointing from a plethora of points of view, however, good news has also arrived. For example, the exit from Early Access (here you find our first review!) After more than two years of Baldur’s Gate 3, which will arrive on PC and PS5 in its final version on August 31st. However, the Larian Studios title will not be exclusive to Sony consoles: the Xbox version is still in development, but the team is having difficulty adjusting the splitscreen co-op mode on Series X | Yes, which will delay the release on Microsoft platforms. Furthermore, the PC version has undergone some adjustments, which have inevitably raised the minimum requirements making them more expensive.
In a post on Steam, Larian Studios indeed confirmed that Baldur’s Gate 3 minimum requirements have been raised, reinforcing the graphical fidelity and complexity of the title, both of which have improved over the period in Early Access. Obviously, the team said that not using hardware with at least the minimum features could greatly affect the enjoyment of the game. The developers said:
We have been keeping an eye on the minimum system requirements and as the game approaches its official release, we have decided to raise the minimum system requirements listed on Steam to better reflect the reality of the version of the game at launch.
