To celebrate Greta Gerwig’s 40th birthday, Ryan Gosling has decided to organize a wonderful flash mob, in full Barbie style
Barbie proved to be a resounding success at the box office and audience, giving Greta Gerwig the title of first director in the world to have grossed 1 billion at the box office just in time for his 40th birthday. For the occasion, even Ryan Gosling, interpreter of Ken, wanted to pay homage to the director with a surprise in full Barbie style, organizing a hilarious flash mob on the notes of a mashup with songs from the film.
The video of the exhilarating performance was posted on the film’s official profile and shows some dancers giving life to a spectacular choreography. The performance begins with I’m just Kenthe song in which the historic boyfriend of Margot Robbie’s Barbie expresses his feelings and his fragility, song entered the Billboard 100the US singles chart.

The director saw several performers invade the apartment in the guise of Ken and Barbie, who danced to some of the film’s most iconic songs, such as Dua Lipa’s Dance the Night, making Gerwig ecstatic and moved. The caption accompanying the flash mob video reads:
As a Ken knows.. Sometimes, the only way to express your feelings is through song and dance! Ken Ryan sent these special Barbies and Kens to get Greta’s birthday started off right!
Barbie is now a global phenomenonwhich has allowed theaters to fill up with people of all ages in pink outfits, becoming one of the biggest box-office hits in post-pandemic cinema history, thanks to an apparently glittering story that gives voice to the contradictions of the female world and of being a woman in a society dominated by patriarchy.
