The last time we saw Doctor Strange in action, it was back in the days of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (here our review). Not long ago therefore, given that the film was only released in 2022. But now the public is wondering if and when this character will return again, in new films. The answer came from Benedict Cumberbatch which, guest a JW3 Speaker Series, has revealed what are the projects that revolve around this superhero. In reality, the actor was quite vague in his answers, simply declaring that “There are some Marvel projects in preparation next year“. Clearly a somewhat approximate answer, but we can hazard a guess.

It’s hard to tell if it’s a new one, third chapter, dedicated to Doctor Strange, given that the project for this film has not yet been announced. Of course, the conditions for a continuation are all there, given that the ending of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hinted at a possible sequel. Setting aside this hypothesis, however, it is possible for the actor to return in other Marvel films, lending himself to some cameos, in films dedicated to other superheroes. Among the hypotheses, Deadpool 3, which will most likely catapult us back into the multiverse, but also Captain America: Brave New World e Thunderbolts.
In the past, Benedict Cumberbatch had made no secret of wanting to return to the role of superhero, arguing that his character still had a lot to give to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
