During this year, which is coming to an end, we have had the opportunity to discover a new opportunity to play on the move: handheld PCs! These presented us with multiple OS and hardware configurations suitable for every need and economic availability. In this article we will look, in general terms, at the main handheld PCs launched in the last period.

Starting with the cine manufacturer Onexplayer, let’s talk about 2 products:

- ONEXPLAYER 2: like its little brother, this device features a AMD Ryzen 7 6800Ubut this time we meet a significantly larger 8.4-inch touchscreen IPS display (2560×1600); obviously such a screen involves a significant increase in weight and size (31 x 12.7 x 2.3 cm for 848g of weight) but also a higher capacity battery (65.5W), which provides a little autonomy less than 2 hours with heavy use. Regarding the software we once again encounter a simplified version of AYA SPACE.

The manufacturer Lenovo enters the handheld market this year with its Lenvo Legion Go: with performance comparable to that of an AMD Ryzen 7 7840U, this Windows PC features a AMD Ryzen Z1 characteristic of this type of device (we will also encounter it in ROG Ally) and an excellent one dispay Lenovo PureSight Gaming da 8,8 pollici (1600p/800p) which offers a brightness of up to 500 nits and a refresh rate of up to 144hz! Moving on to Asus’ ROG (Republic of Gamers) gaming line, we are offered Rog Ally, which, with a format similar to ONEXPLAYER Mini Pro, has a display touchscreen IPS da 7 pollici (FHD) with maximum brightness of 500 nits (powered by a 40W battery), and a AMD Ryzen Z1 (6C/12T da 4,9 Ghz), which translate into a weight of 608g and dimensions 28.0 x 11.1 x 2.12 cm; everything is accompanied by the classic ROG software package composed of programs such as Asus ROG Armory.

The famous videogame launcher Steam makes its debut in the handheld market with a device that we do not define as a PC (like the previous ones) but a portable console: the Steam Deck, which presents an OS designed and created specifically for it based on the manufacturer’s launcher called Steam OS! - THIS IS THIS: The device offers an 8.4-inch IPS display (2560×1600, 350PPI) with a maximum brightness of 500 nits and a AMD Ryzen 7 7840U.
