We say goodbye September and we enter the height of autumn with the month of October and its new line-up of videogames!
This month, to our great joy, has lots of interesting proposals for all tastes! Let’s start with Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the latest addition to the famous Ubisoft series. Mirage will take us to Baghdad where we will follow the story of Basim Ibn Ishaq. At first a thief with no prospects, Basim will have an encounter that will revolutionize his life and bring him closer to the Brotherhood and its centuries-old mission. Title highly anticipated by fans, Assassin’s Creed Mirage arrives on October 5th and marks a “return to origins” compared to more recent episodes such as Odyssey and Valhalla.
For Pokémon fans, it’s coming Detective Pikachu: The Return, exclusively on Nintendo Switch. The game takes us back to Ryme City, where Tim Goodman continues the investigation into the disappearance of his father. Accompanied by a grumpy Pikachu who is passionate about coffee, Tim will need the help of both humans and Pokémon to understand what happened: but it won’t be easy to understand who to trust, and it will take cunning and knowledge to overcome the difficulties of the case.
Among the best video games of October 2023 we also find Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Peter Parker and Miles Morales return in a new adventure. In a New York thrown into chaos the two will fight a series of truly fearsome opponents such as Kraven the Hunter and Lizard. And when Venom is added to the mix, things certainly can’t go smoothly…
Now let’s talk aboutSuper Mario Bros. Wonder, new adventure of the most famous plumber brothers in the videogame universe. A colorful title, full of characters and levels to complete. What happened this time? But nothing, Bowser has simply transformed into… a semi-walking and potentially destructive fortress. Mario and Luigi’s mission (plus the many supporting characters) will be to make their way through hordes of enemies and pitfalls and defeat (again) the annoying lizard.
October 2023 (just right for Halloween) offers Alan Wake II, sequel to Remedy’s action-horror title of the same name. 13 years after the disappearance of thriller writer Alan Wake, a series of strange murders occurs in the town of Bright Falls. FBI agent Saga Anderson is sent to investigate: little does she know that she will become entangled in a supernatural horror story that seems to be plotted by someone…
For the “welcome returns” series we highlight a notable collection. It’s coming Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1, which includes three chapters: Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (HD Collection version) and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (HD Collection version). Honestly, we don’t know how to put into words how good the Metal Gear series is: if you’ve never had the chance to play the games in the original version, now is the right time to catch up on them.
