The best video games ahead of Christmas 2021: our list

Let’s face it: videogames are the perfect gift for everyone, young and old. The choice, however, is not at all simple given the vast amount of titles, but do not worry: here is our list of the best video games to put under the tree for Christmas 2021.

Ori The Collection (Nintendo Switch)

A collection that brings together both beloved titles of the franchise: Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps. The collection also includes the original soundtracks in digital version and six collectible art cards. For fans of the game it is absolutely the perfect Christmas gift.

Marvel’s Guardians of The Galaxy (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PC)

Take on the role of Star-Lord in this extraordinary third-person adventure, available on virtually all platforms. The feeling of being side by side with Groot, Rocket, Gamora and Drax is absolutely priceless for superhero fans. A game suitable for over 16s for an immersive story in full Marvel style. Are you not convinced and want to know more? Well we have tried and reviewed the game here, after all we are here for this right?

MotoGP 21 (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PC, Nintendo Switch)

The official video game of the Moto GP is a must have for all lovers of this sporty discipline. This is the most realistic title in the series, which will allow you to get on the saddle in both multiplayer and career modes. This last mode will give you the opportunity to race from Moto 3 or start your career as a rider directly in Moto GP. The game is available for all platforms, making it extremely versatile and as a Christmas gift. To find out more read our full review here.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PC)

A title that has literally upended the sales charts in the UK, where it was placed for several weeks as the best-selling game. This is a collection that brings together the entire Mass Effect trilogy. You can then (re) live the adventures of Commander Shepard aboard his spaceship in the year 2138. Each choice will affect the development of the story in this atypical fantasy set in space. Our review can be found here.

Far Cry 6 (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PC, Stadia)

What to say: definitely one of the video games of the year. The voice of Giancarlo Esposito (Gus from Breaking Bad) is just the icing on the cake of one of the most anticipated and satisfying titles of 2021. Nothing more to say, we can only recommend it and leave you to our review.

Immortals Fenyx Rising (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PC)

Ubisoft presents us this very interesting action RPG set in ancient Greece in which the gods and mythological creatures are the masters. A story that will take us in the role of Fenyx to fight Typhon, the terrible Titan who has taken possession of the powers of the Greek gods. Our full review can be found here.

Nioh Collection (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5)

An exclusive PlayStation title, which gives its best on PlayStation 5 thanks to an absolutely stunning 4K graphics. Nioh Collection, as the name suggests, is a re-edition of the two titles of the famous Nioh saga set in feudal Japan, between enemies and demons to defeat

Doom Slayers Collection (PlayStation 4, Xbox One)

Are you looking for the perfect Christmas gift for a gamer nostalgic? Are you yourself a goddamn nostalgic for video games? Then Doom Slayers Collection is a must have: Doom, Doom II, Doom III and Doom 2016, for a dip in the shooter saga that has revolutionized the world of video games and marked an entire generation.

Deathloop (PlayStation 5, PC)

IThe world is stuck in a time loop and you are here to break it. No, the world is stuck in a time loop and you are here to hold it. No, the world is stuck in a time loop and you… you… you have to figure out what the hell is going on. In short, if you want to understand something, read our review, but the game is really nice.

Ghost of Tsushima – Director’s Cut (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5)

Another Sony exclusive title and another video game that gives its best on PlayStation 5. A video game suitable for everyone, both fans of the Franchist and newbies, in which you will find yourself in Japan in 1274 to face, in the role of the samurai Jin Sakai, the first Mongol invasion. You can find our review, particularly enthusiastic, of the title here.

Age of Empires IV (PC)

Recently released, only released on October 28, Age of Empires IV is just the latest chapter, in chronological order, of this popular strategy video game series. The game features eight civilizations, which move and fight in extremely different ways, as each of these has its own troops. The strategic side is therefore the fundamental component for this renowned title that we have reviewed here. Available for PC only.

Returnal (PlayStation 5) among the best video games to give for Christmas

Selene makes an emergency landing on an alien planet that is as mysterious as it is disturbing. Plus an infinite loop forces her to relive the story from the beginning. Will he be able to survive the dangers lurking on the hostile planet and break the loop? It just depends on her. Indeed from you, because she only moves if you touch the joypad. If it depended on her, she would die within the first few seconds of starting. Here is our full review.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Premium Deluxe Edition (PC, XBOX)

The ultimate flight simulator, highly appreciated by real gamers and pilots for its accuracy and attention to detail. The franchise now celebrates 39 years, given that the first chapter of the series dates back to 1982 and does so in a new version of the game that is practically perfect that will make you feel like real pilots.
