Despite the time that passed between the launch of the card and our testing period, it arrived with an outdated BIOS version dating back even a year earlier. The card was tested within a configuration equipped with a Ryzen 5 7600 alternating with a Ryzen 7 7700. With both CPUs, pre-BIOS update, different sudden shutdowns (especially during stress tests) and a general instability of the entire system. After updating the BIOS (through a procedure that is not very complex and explained in detail in the manual) we can confirm the total absence of problems of this type.

Also noteworthy is the compatibility with overclocking profiles for AMD EXPO RAM (Kingston Fury 6000 MT/s in tested configuration) but also in this case stability problems were found, both in their activation and in the use of two banks in dual channel, during the pre-BIOS update tests. The Biostar B650MP-E Pro motherboard is definitely one entry level solution for the use of AMD 7000 Series processors but manages to present itself as a solid and interesting product, not without unusual goodies in this price range, thanks above all to one street price of around €120-130.
