The platform schedule thus expands with a gripping thriller produced by Rat Pack film production in 2023 which retraces, fictionalizing them, the events that took place during the conflict. In particular, the German film winks at Tarantino and david yesterday looking for the funniest and most grotesque way to kill the German SS.

Spring 1945. Blood & Gold is set in the last days of the Second World War and tells the story of the German deserter Heinrich (Robert Maaser), the brave young peasant girl Elsa (Marie Hacke) and a group of Nazis. While returning home from the front to find his daughter, Heinrich comes across a fierce squad of SS. After being hung from a tree by their leader (Alexander Scheer), is saved at the last moment by Elsa who hides him on her farm. Meanwhile, the SS go in search of a rich Jewish treasure in a nearby village, clashing with the annoyed inhabitants who want to keep the loot. Soon Heinrich and Elsa become reluctantly involved in this one adrenaline-pumping gold hunt, which will culminate in a bloody showdown in the local church. The film is directed by Peter Thorwarth, screenwriter of The Wave, while the cast includes Robert Maaser, Marie Hacke, Alexander Scheer, Roy McCrerey, Florian Schmidtke, Petra Zieser, Stephan Grossmann, Juri Senft, Jared Lorenzo and Tomas Karel.
