Fans of the purest driving pleasure in a BMW M convertible model will find what they are looking for: the BMW Z4 M40i Pure Impulse edition. With the 2024 model year of the roadster, a six-speed manual transmission will also be available for the top-of-the-line version for the first time.
BMW Z4 Pure Impulse edition: open-air experience
The new engine/transmission combination it forms the centerpiece of an attractive equipment package designed to place more emphasis than ever on the two-seater’s constant focus. It thus offers an exhilarating open-air driving experience. The Pure Impulse edition offers adapted chassis technology and mixed-size M light-alloy wheels, with a diameter of 19 inches on the front axle and 20 inches on the rear.
Unique design features are also included for both the exterior and interior. The BMW Z4 Pure Impulse edition will go on sale in Germany, other European markets and the United States. New colors will also be added to the exterior paint range which will also renew the other variants of the BMW Z4 model.

This new offering at the top of the model range equips the most powerful variant of the roadster with the ideal tools to further increase its popularity. To date, almost half of all customers in Germany have chosen the flagship version of the BMW Z4, whose six-cylinder in-line engine gives it a unique strong point in a fiercely competitive segment occupied exclusively by premium German brands. In recent times, the BMW M model has represented more than 30% of the roadster’s global sales volume.
