Bosch also includes FCA in the Secure Diagnostic Access (SDA) function. This function has already been available for some time for the Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Skoda and Cupra brands. SDA represents a centralized, standardized solution integrated into the ESI diagnostic software[tronic] 2.0 Online which allows direct access to protected vehicle data. For workshops there is, therefore, the possibility of performing passive as well as active diagnostics which usually involve a paid access required by the manufacturers.
Access to Bosch-protected diagnostics also for FCA vehicles with the SDA system
Secure Diagnostic Access (SDA) from Bosch is available for i FCA vehicles without the need to make a paid registration on the car manufacturer’s carry. The workshop operator will only need to make one initial free registration to get their own Personal Bosch ID. Thanks to the extension of Secure Diagnostic Access (SDA), Bosch saves workshops time and money while also increasing the diagnosis efficiency. For multi-brand workshops there is the possibility of performing comprehensive, quick and efficient diagnostics of vehicles from different manufacturers.
