Burgman 400 customized at auction: the proceeds to charity
For all motorcycle enthusiasts, the visit to Eicma has a little more beauty this year. In addition to the long-awaited return to presence, it was possible to admire the only example of Burgman 400 wrapped with the work “The fencer” by the Van Orton twins, world-famous Italian illustrators. In addition to these artists also participated Francesco Poroli, Riccardo Guasco and Gianluca Folì. In addition, the Van Ortons have been elected by the Suzuki online community to customize the Burgman 400 livery, which becomes a real artwork on 2 wheels. Sold at auction on the charitystarts.com platform for 7,390 euros, it was delivered, together with the 1/50 print of the work, to the successful bidder. All during the official ceremony on Wednesday 24 November at the Suzuki stand in Eicma in Milan.

All auction proceeds went to charity at Matalon Foundation who symbolically withdrew the check at the fair. Moreover, the Milanese Foundation based in the very central Foro Buonaparte hosted the Burgman 400 for about 2 weeks. “With the proceeds from the auction – he explains Nello Taietti, President of the Matalon Foundation – we will finance a series of projects to support the promotion of young emerging artists ”.
“We close the circle of what ARThletes was,” he adds Paolo Ilariuzzi, Director of the Motorcycle and Marine Engines Division of Suzuki Italia. “It was an ambitious and innovative project, combining technical skills, Japanese culture, Italian taste and current events.
