Lots of lead, but no platinum for the PS5 trophy: this is what emerged about Modern Warfare 3, the latest (re-)arrived Call of Duty
According to what has been reported, despite being Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 a truly (technically) new title for the franchise, this wasn’t always the plan for Activision and the apparent absence of a platinum trophy for the PS5 version matches what the publisher had previously predicted. In fact, we are talking about the initial idea of including the third chapter as a mere expansion of the second episode, and this is why PowerPyx shed some light on the situation with the tweet below. If the name sounds familiar, that’s because it should: it’s a site specifically dedicated to keeping track of trophies. And this is where the technicality to which we owe the entire news comes in.

The stolen Call of Duty trophy that never went platinum: goodbye platinum on PS5 for Modern Warfare 3
Apparently, the list of new trophies for the latest addition to the saga will be included as elenco DLC for its predecessor, Modern Warfare 2. This therefore translates into the complete absence of a platinum trophy, unlike the PS4 version where ironically the separate trophy list remained perfectly intact. Whether Activision’s plans change in the future, then, remains to be seen. For now, the company has not made any communication in this regard. We only know about the game when it will be released and when it will be available for pre-order, in addition to the considerable technical specifications required on PC. Launch is in a week on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series November 10th.
