A historic rebirth is back in Call of Duty Warzone: respawn, metaphorically and literally, Rebirth Island among the in-game maps
Players of Call of Duty Warzonerejoice: the map Rebirth Island is about to make its highly anticipated return to the spotlight. The setting has been teased by the developers, but now we know that the 3rd April we'll be able to go back to the island to get bored. Beloved by players, the map presents itself as a remake of Alcatraz from the Blackout battle royale mode of Black Ops 4. It is not the first time that players of the free-to-play title have set foot on the atoll of rebirth: already in December 2020 the location made its appearance as part of the Black Ops Cold War season 1 update. The comings and goings of the contents are not easy to follow, but it is possible that (after arena removal in November 2022) the island is here to stay.
Rebirth Island is reborn in Call of Duty Warzone
The current Call of Duty Warzone is actually the numbered sequel to the original (which, after abandoning Rebirth Island, did the same under the “2.0” designation last September). The map returned last week as launch content for the mobile version of the game. And while the 120-player clash is only playable on classic Verdansk, the returning island will support 48 playersin addition to the regulation Resurgence. In this case, the latter consists of players returning to the game as long as one of their teammates is still alive. It's not just the map that's back to stay, therefore: the players will also be selling their lives dearly before abandoning it.
