Canon together with the two creative agencies Zampediverse and Buzin Media Agency redefine the paradigm of visual storytelling, in an 8K journey between Milan and New York

In collaboration with the creative agency Zampediverse and Buzin Media Agency, Canon is at the center of a new chapter in video production and augmented/virtual reality.
Attention towards AR and 360° videos experienced an explosion in Italy in 2016, withwith leading companies such as Ikea, Adidas, Elio and Le Storie Tese, Nutella and the Friuli Venezia Giulia region which have pioneered the embrace of immersive marketing. Among Zampediverse and BMA clients, these names have created cutting-edge virtual reality video projects, making the most of the technological capabilities offered by Canon.

Today, with the launch of the Apple Vision Pro, Apple’s first mixed reality viewer, interest in this form of technology is destined to grow exponentially. To bring the first examples of the new Apple viewer to Italy, Zampediverse and Buzin Media Agency are preparing to embark on a trip to New York, to the new World Trade Center store, relying on the most advanced Canon photographic equipment.
The journey, documented and shared on the social channels of the agency and Canon Italia from 7 to 11 February, it will be immortalized through an innovative 180° video story made with the smallest Canon Cinema video camera EOS R5C in 8K RAW 50P and the RF 5.2MM F2.8L DUAL FISHEYE lens, specially designed for this application. As well as being a mission to acquire new technology, the trip represents a unique opportunity to tell an extraordinary story through the use of Canon equipment.

The images will capture the essence of the journey between the United States and Milan, highlighting the innovative use of Canon’s DUAL FISHEYE lens and the Apple Vision Pro. This visual story will travel through iconic New York locations, from Manhattan to the Empire State Building , from Central Park to the Brooklyn Bridge.
To support the initiative, every day 4 videos and a photographic story will be published on the Zampediverse and Canon Italia social channels. Upon returning, the backstage of the video “MI-NY-AR” will be presented, which will show users the innovative use of the equipment and the 180° shooting techniques.
