Canon: ST-E3-RT ver.2 all the functions of the new update
Other new features of the ST-E3-RT (Ver. 2) include support for reducing the flash output to 1/8192 of the EL-1 Speedlite and a new FE Memory mode, designed for photographers who use manual flash.
Thanks to wireless radio transmission and second curtain synchronization, the ST-E3-RT (Ver .2) fires the flash at the end of a long exposure. This helps photographers get natural looking images in moving subjects. This feature is included in the new wireless options offered by ST-E3-RT (Ver. 2) to provide the flexibility to tackle a wide range of scenarios.
When shooting at a wide aperture and / or a high ISO speed, the flash level can often overpower the subject and scene. The photographer is then forced to change the settings or configuration, giving up the desired effect. When used in conjunction with the Speedlite EL-1 flash unit, the transmitter’s 1/8192 micro flash adds an accent where needed but without disturbing the mood and ambient light on set. This feature is perfect for fashion and portrait photographers who want to give their shots a natural look.
ST-E3-RT: availability and price

Then, they can switch to manual Speedlite flash mode to make the necessary adjustments, all while maintaining the starting E-TTL settings.
