Through a press release, Reply Totem told us about the great success achieved by the first edition of the Italian Royale Series, the Italian championship of Clash Royale: let’s find out all the details together
Clash Royale was originally born in 2016 as a title intended for the mobile market. Developed by Supercell (purchases from Tencent and also developers of Clash of Clans) the game is based on the strategic use of decks of cards, in a lethal mix that mixes strategic elements with pure RNG and which, in the end, is always addictive . Tournaments, of course, are wasted, considering how extensive and engulfing the eSports market is internationally. Even in Italy, however, a real national tournament was organized this year, the Italian Royale Series. Everything came to life thanks to Reply Totem in collaboration with POCO, that through a press release was keen to underline the enormous success of the first all-Italian Clash Royale competition.
The first edition of the Italian Royale Series ended on 8 Julyat the end of the playoffs which lasted two days. It was Guanek who triumphed, QLASH player, thus winning the new POCO F4 GT and the huge prize pool. Not starting in the best way during the regular season, the player managed to grab the sixth place and the following qualification for the playoffs only on the last day. In the final stages he first defeated Youssef (Hell’s Legion), then DavideRooney (Reply Totem) and finally Keef (Hmble), undefeated until then, first in the final of the winner bracket then in the final. To complete the podium and take home a slice of the prize money were Keef with a second place and Youssef with the bronze medal. An incredible story for Guanek: retired from the competitive by now in 2019, he wanted to get back to the first with the announcement of the Italian Royale Series, in which he demonstrated all his worth.

A first season with a bang, with the Italian community responding loudly and positively to the tournament, for a title that had been missing for some time on the national scene. The collaboration of the publisher Supercell was not far behind, and given the welcome, the numbers and the success, it is now certain the arrival of a second edition to continue to push the growth of Clash Royla and, above all, of the eSport in Italy. Thanks to POCO for believing in Reply Totem at the beginning of its first major event as a torunament organizer and for placing faith in the Clash Royale community and in the potential of mobile gaming.
