A new product from Creative, a company we have been happy to collaborate with for years, that we are happy to test is this desktop soundbar. Is called Stage Air V2 and it is definitely compact, versatile and with a convincing sound. Inside the package we find the soundbar with, supplied, a miniJack / miniJack cable and a USB-C cable /USB-A. Obviously, all the manuals are also available, naturally also available in foreign languages Italian.

Let’s start with the design in my opinion that is really right for the type of product. This is one of the gaming soundbrs that can be placed under the monitor or on the desk. The space it occupies is really small, and the ability to plug it into bluetooth it is definitely a plus. Returning to the design, this is particularly minimal, but at the same time clean and therefore really suitable for everyone writing desk. On the right side of the device there are the two volume keys, the one on and off, and the Bluetooth key. On the back, however, we find the jack entrance and the entrance USB-C which can act both as an input for recharging the internal battery it has, and for connecting additional peripherals (such as PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC o Laptop).
As soon as I got out of the package I proceeded to connect it for a first bluetooth test to my laptop. As soon as it is switched on, it automatically enters mode pairing, not finding any connected cable devices. The pairing is immediate and the device is immediately ready for use. The LED on the front of the soundbar is very convenient as it is always possible to have the status of the soundbar under control. The possible states of the led:
- Solid blue: device connected
- Flashing blue: bluetooth pairing mode
- Steady green: connection via AUX
- Solid purple: connection via USB input
As regards the charging phase, also in this case the LED will come to our aid to report the charging status:

Let’s move on to the sound sector, the most important one. I found this Creative Stage Air V2 Very balanced on all frequencies. Clearly the absence of a dedicated subwoofer (which is instead found in the Stage V2 version) is noticeable and not a little, but on the medium and high frequencies it manages to be balanced and need. For listening to music I found it particularly performance, as well as for the vision of films or video games in which spatiality does not have a strong impact on the gaming experience. It definitely loses something in style games “battle royal” where spatiality is essential for an experience of game immersive ed fulfilling.
The strengths are certainly the multitude of associable devices, the ability to connect it to PC o console. Furthermore, the possibility of switchare quickly between devices using the buttons on the soundbar.
Conclusions and price
Who said that “compactness” rhymes with “Compromises” ? This is definitely not the case with Creative Stage Air V2. A mature product, designed after the previous experience of previous products that reconciles compactness and quality. It would be excessive to expect excellent audio quality, given the price and given the compactness which obviously cannot be overlooked for reasons purely physical.
