The series, which officially ended in February 2020 in the US, shortly before the pandemic broke out, returns with a revival. In particular, it returns to Star, thus passing from generalist TV to streaming, but maintaining a large part of the original cast, albeit with some absences. At the basis remains the study and the hunt for the most fearsome serial killers in the United States, sometimes new and sometimes silent, by the BAU, the Behavioral Analysis Unit, a special team made up of FBI psycho-criminologists, who must develop a psychological and behavioral profile of serial killers, called SI (Unsub, or Unknown Subject) to stop them before they strike again.

To cure the revival Erica Messer, the showrunner of the last seasons of the mother series. Obviously the one that will be distributed by Disney + in the coming weeks will be largely in line with the original series. Starting with the protagonist Joe Mantegna.
