Dahua Technology, a world leader in video surveillance, has made one special project for the Grand Hotel Victoria in Menaggio, located on the western shore of Lake Como.
The liberty style structure of the Grand Hotel Victoria Menaggio 5 ***** L, which includes a late 19th century building and a former convent, has been completely renovated and promises a unique experience to its guests, guaranteeing their safety thanks to the video surveillance solutions by Dahua Technology. The management of the hotel complex has in fact entrusted Dahua and the System Integrator MD Impianti with the creation of the perimeter and internal video surveillance system of the structure.

15 IPC-HFW5241E-ZE 2 Megapixel bullet cameras with motorized lens (2.7 ~ 13.5 mm) of the WizMind series – equipped with the state of the art of AI applications, such as perimeter protection, face detection and people counting – guard the outside of the building ensuring crystal clear images even in the dark thanks to the IR LEDs (with range up to 50 meters), 120 dB WDR and Starlight technology (up to 0.002 Lux before switching to black and white).

Two 128-channel NVR608R-128-4KS2 video recorders and 8 hard disks with redundant power supply manage all video streams, while networking has been implemented with ePoE, PoE and aggregation switches connected via CAT6 and fiber optic cables.

The images collected from the entire system can be viewed both from the concierge and remotely, a feature that allows great flexibility for the maximum satisfaction of the management of the structure, which is already evaluating the integration of a DSS centralization software and a video wall.
The installation work was carried out by MD Impianti Srl, a Brianza-based company that has been present on the Italian electrical system market for over 20 years. The Dahua devices were supplied by the distribution partner Certek (Barcella Elettroforniture) in Bergamo.
