Possible information has been leaked about the next films and TV series that we could see in the DCU, the reboot of the cinematic universe dedicated to DC Comics superheroes!
James Gunn’s new DC cinematic universe, aka DCU (check out Gunn’s complete filmography), is about to begin. After the latest DCEU film: Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (read the review of Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom), we finally have some possible information on the next DCU projects that we could see in the coming years. Also among the leaked projects are The Brave and The Bold, Waller and other unpublished projects! Let’s see together what awaits us in the near future! Plastic Man | DCU: here are the films and TV series we could see!
The film about Patrick O’Brian (known to many as Plastic Man), could be one of the first projects in development at Warner Bros. Some time ago they already intended to make a film about it, but unfortunately it was cancelled. Plastic Man has never been very commercialized, but he has always been a very popular character for his surreal and slapstick humor and for his extravagant nature. Plastic Man has had many comic series, including one animated series in the 80s. His most recent and best-known appearance was in the animated series Batman: The Brave and The Bold of the early 2000s, where he is a recurring character and plays the role of the comic vein of the series. A film about him could be a really nice surprise and quite welcome!
Huntress | DCU: here are the films and TV series we could see!
The version of Huntress that we should see in the DCU is the best known one, that is Helena Bertinelli, a character who in the DC universe should be half Italian and half Korean (unlike the comics where he is Italian American). Huntress was born as Batman’s adversary, but since Helena Bertinelli became the official version of Earth 1, she became an official member of the Batfamily and the Justice League. The character has already had two live action transpositions: in the TV series Arrowwho appeared in the second season, and was a member of the team Birds Of Prey in the film of the same name.

Previously it was rumored that John Logan he would have taken care of the screenplay of the film, but over time this rumor seemed to weaken more and more, making people believe that the screenwriter was no longer linked to the new Batman film. On the TV series Waller, centered on the character of Amanda Waller, there are many more rumors. The series could consist of 13 episodesmost episodes could be already been written and Phil Abraham (The Sopranos) could direct the first two and could already start the casting.
