After a series of cryptic hints, Xbox has confirmed that Death Stranding will arrive in the catalog Game Pass from next week. The announcement came today, on Twitter, with a post that says “special delivery”. The game will come on PC Game Pass on Tuesday, August 23, 2022.
In the image of the post we see the legs of what appears to be Sam Porter Bridges, the protagonist of the video game, holding a briefcase.
Death Stranding arrives on Game Pass, but only for PC
Unfortunately the game will be available only on PC, as the rights to the console version still belong exclusively to Sony. It will therefore not be possible to play Death Stranding on Xbox One or Xbox Series X | S. The developer Hideo Kojima however, he promised that a collaboration with Xbox Game Studios is in the works for a future videogame.
Death Stranding was released in 2019 as a PlayStation exclusive, and in 2020 it also arrived on PC. The following year, in 2021, the Director’s Cut version for PS5 arrived, which was also released for PC last March.
Our Director’s Cut review reads:
“The innovations introduced with the Director’s Cut are perhaps not enough to make those who already own it buy the title, but they are enough to convince those who were still waiting. If you were one of the curious, now is the right time to add it to your library. It is a journey, of a path in a work that has a lot to tell you. Particular, without a shadow of a doubt, but very intriguing “.
