In 2018, Pikachu debuted in an unusual and original role: that of a talking detective and coffee enthusiast, protagonist of the video game Detective Pikachu for Nintendo 3DS. Now, 5 years after its first appearance on consoles, Detective Pikachu returns in a new adventure on Nintendo Switch. The title of the game? Simple: Detective Pikachu: The Return.
The game continues the plot of the previous chapter, set in the magical Ryme City, where humans and Pokémon live in harmony. The player will take on the role of Tim Goodman, a young university student who can communicate with Pikachu and other Pokémon. Together with his electric rodent companion, Tim will have to investigate the disappearance of his father Harry Goodman.
Along the way, the two investigators will have to solve numerous mysteries and puzzles, interacting with the characters and Pokémon they encounter. Many of these will be willing to help Pikachu with their special abilities, such as following tracks, collecting clues or transporting the protagonists from one part of the city to another.

Detective Pikachu: Returns offers intuitive and engaging gameplay, combining elements of adventure and puzzle. The game is proposed as a real noir experience, in which the player will have to use logic and intuition to discover the truth. The game also stands out for its refined and detailed graphics, which makes Ryme City a lively and fascinating city.
