Held yesterday evening, the 2021 Dice Awards ceremony has come to an end: let’s find out together all the winners of the various categories
With a first edition that dates back to 1998, the Dice Awards ceremony is one of the most important in the gaming industry, together with the most famous The Game Awards. The nominations and awards are organized by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) and this year’s ceremony was held just yesterday evening, April 22nd. Here, we are going to see which were the winning titles of the various awards in each category, of which some rather interesting surprises.
Non solo The Last of Us!
The last The Game Awards ceremony saw The Last of Us Part II as the winner, which racked up prizes in every area. And even as far as the Dice Awards are concerned, the exclusive Sony PlayStation has won two awards in different categories (Outstanding Achievement in Animation and Outstanding Achievement in Story), as well as other First Parties of the company such as Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles. Morales or Ghost of Tsushima. The biggest surprise was definitely the Game of The Year award winner, which in the case of the 2021 Dice Awards was won by none other than Hades.
Hades arraffatutto! – Says Awards 2021: here are all the winners!
The small, big pearl of Supergiant Games has in fact collected prizes, in addition to the most coveted, beating in terms of number of statuettes titles such as Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Final Fantasy VII Remake or, precisely, the highly acclaimed The Last of Us Part II. We have talked extensively about Hades in a detailed review that you can find by clicking here, we can only say that we are more than satisfied with this result for the small indie development studio.
Among the statuettes we also find Mortal Kombat 11, winner of the Fighting Game of the Year, and Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, which beautifully won the award as Racing Game of The Year. Final Fantasy VII Remake has won the award for best RPG, while there is also the excellent Half-Life: Alyx, winner as Immersive Reality Game of The Year and Immersive Reality Tecnical Achievement. A mention also to the pearl that is Dreams, winner of the Outstanding Technical Achievement award, a title far too little considered by the general public.
