Ncuti Gatwa will be the new (fifteenth to be precise) Doctor Who in the forthcoming season
After the return of David Tennant as the Doctor for the time of the special episodes for the Doctor Who 60th Anniversaryto succeed him there will be the version embodied by Ncuti Gatwa, star known to the general public for her participation in the Sex Education series on Netflix. Today, at the end of filming, we see new images of his Doctor Who.
We’ve already had a first look at Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor and his companion, but now we can take a deeper look at the upcoming season. The official Doctor Who Twitter account has indeed released a new photo showing Gatwa as the Doctor, and it’s seriously impressive. In the image, Gatwa is wearing a plaid blazer with matching pants and an orange shirt. He also wears a cowboy hat, which fits perfectly with this interpretation of Doctor Who. While the images don’t give us anything more than a new look of Gatwa for the series it’s certainly interesting to see what the series will do next.

The longest-running telecast ever will return with three 60th anniversary specials debuting in November 2023 starring David Tennant. The specials will be the first of the series to air on Disney+ as part of a new international streaming deal. Season 14 will star Gatwa as the Doctor e Millie Gibson as new partner Ruby Sundaywhich will follow in 2024.
The BBC and Disney announced a plan to turn the franchise into a global hit for audiences in the UK and the rest of the world just days after Chris Chibnall and Jodie Whittaker’s final episode. The Doctor Who season 14 is scheduled to debut in 2024.
